The application window will close June 30th.
The Louella W. Norfleet Memorial Scholarship Fund will be awarded annually to a candidate pursuing a degree in higher education from an accredited community college, college or university.
The Fund assists students with a grade point average of 2.5 or better upon graduation from high school. An application for assistance must be received with an official transcript and reference letters.
Completion of all fields is required.
All supporting documents must be submitted with the application.
Instructions
The Louella W. Norfleet Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to a candidate pursuing a degree in higher education from an accredited community college, college or university.
Possess a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
High school seniors entering into a two- or four-year accredited community college, college, or university
Pursuing a degree in higher education
The applicant will need to submit the following required supporting documents with the application:
Picture of the applicant
Official high school or college transcript, containing a cumulative 2.5 or higher GPA (weighted).
Two letters of recommendation, and these letters cannot be written by family members. One letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or administrator. The letter must be written on the school's letterhead.
One official letter of acceptance from an accredited community college, college, or university. The letter must be written on the community college, college, or university’s letterhead.
Save all documents as LastName FirstName “Document” (e.g. “Norfleet Louella Recommendation” , “Norfleet Louella Recommendation2”, “Norfleet Louella Acceptance Letter”, “Norfleet Louella Essay”). All components of the application must be received by the deadline for consideration.
Applications submission will close on June 30th.
Please note that monetary funds will be given directly to the accepted community college, college, or university with the student’s name during the first semester of the classes after the add-drop deadline of the academic institution.
